Tornado Damage At Northwood Evangelical Lutheran Church
Due to an amazing
job by many volunteers, NELC was able to hold
church services one week after the disaster. It was a packed house!
Thank you to all those who helped with the massive clean up!

Northwood
Evangelical Lutheran Church lost many windows and much of it's roof.

What a mess,
everything inside was wet and had to be hauled out.

All the carpet, hymnals and books were ruined.

Luckily all the "Stained Glass" windows held except one.

Large pieces of granite had to be removed from the Bell Tower using a crane.
Huge fans are
forcing air through the church to dry everything out.
Large blue tarps
were tacked to the roof after the torn sections had been removed. Despite
the rough exterior and
the big fans running, they are able to hold services in the sanctuary.
